The Casper Firefighters Pipes & Drums band was formed in 2012 as a Sub-Group to the Fire Department Honor Guard. The band was soon sponsored by the Casper Firefighters Local 904, and have since began to gain support from City of Casper Officials. The band’s number one responsibility is to Honor Fallen Firefighters locally and nationally when called upon, as well as honoring retired firefighters as they pass.
The group takes great pride and honor in celebrating individual accomplishments and honoring those fallen and passed brothers and sisters. Members have performed Honor Guard duties at many events from Football games to Funerals. Other interests include promotion and retirement ceremonies for current firefighters, parades, pub-crawls, and other fun community events.
Firefighting is a proud profession and takes a special breed of person to wear the badge and uniform. Pride represents our brotherhood, our courage, and our dedication to protecting the lives and property of those around us.
Paying tribute to all of our fallen brothers and sisters, whether it be a line of duty death, or those that pass with time. Honoring their service and dedication to the profession, as well as ensuring they will always be remembered.
The tradition of bagpipes being played at fire department and police department funerals in the United States goes back over one hundred and fifty years, making the bagpipes a staple feature of a fallen hero's funeral service.

BIG THANKS TO OUR SPONSOR
Casper Firefighters Local 904
Our band was formed in January of 2012 as a Sub-Group to our Fire Department Honor Guard. We were soon sponsored by the Casper Firefighters Local 904, and we have since began to gain support from City of Casper Officials. We currently have no secure financial support, but our members are extremely active in fundraising events to help support our existance. We have also added three members and unfortunately lost one since our inception in 2012.
One final note to show the dedication of this group. Each member has spent thousands of their own dollars to make this possible. We continue to do fundraisers and seek donations to help offset some costs associated with operating the band.
